Building Power Organizing Training

When people who share our Jewish values come together, we can make a tremendous difference in our local communities. That is a key principle of JUFJ’s organizing, and it’s why we’re working cross-jurisdictionally to bring Jews across our region together to learn about organizing, advocacy, and leadership!

Jews United for Justice is hosting a 3-part series this summer on Zoom to introduce or refresh your organizing skills in order to build power in the year to come! These training sessions are open to everyone and participation is not required at all three – feel free to register for the skills that feel most relevant and interesting to you. Sign up for any of the online events using the images or event titles below to connect with others in DC, Maryland, and Virginia who share our values as we discuss how to effectively organize to make change right here where we live.

Join JUFJers from across the region for an interactive training on how to lead powerful 1:1 conversations — a key tool for building relationships and winning big campaigns. We’ll learn the foundations of effective 1:1s and practice together from 7:00–8:15 PM, followed by 15 minutes of breakout time by jurisdiction to explore how 1:1s can strengthen your jurisdiction-specific local organizing.

Join us for a cross-jurisdictional and interactive training on how to organize and execute successful community gatherings. We’ll break down the building blocks of effectively presenting JUFJ’s work, dive into strategies for engaging and moving participants to action, and develop and practice our JUFJ stories and ‘elevator pitches.’

Join us for an interactive session on meeting facilitation! What makes a meeting effective? How can you be a strong facilitator to move the room to action? Come learn and start putting your skills into practice!
