Join us for our next Community-Building and Education Team meeting to brainstorm new ways to get the Montgomery County community involved in JUFJ. Everyone is welcome!
Join JUFJ and the Silver Spring Justice Coalition (SSJC) for a virtual watch party, where the Office of Legislative Oversight will present their findings on Montgomery County traffic stop data to the Public Safety Committee. This presentation will highlight the racial disparities, and gaps in existing data, of the Montgomery County Police Department's traffic stops.
Join JUFJ and our partners in the Montgomery County Racial Equity Network to demand the passage of Bill 30-21 and the speedier distribution of rent relief to tenants in critical need!
Join the Time to Care Coalition as we kick-off our campaign to get paid family and medical leave (PFML) passed in the 2022 Maryland legislative session! The event will feature the Time to Care Act bill sponsors, Senator Antonio Hayes and Delegate Kris Valderrama, as well as other leaders in the fight for PFML. We'll also share ongoing campaign activities and opportunities for people to get involved. This is the year for the Maryland legislature to pass the Time to Care Act and ensure that Marylanders don't have to choose between their jobs and caring for themselves or their loved ones.
Join the Silver Spring Justice Coalition (SSJC) for a watch party of the worksession for Bill 45-20, which will improve data collection from the Montgomery County Police Department.
If you were not able to attend Sunday's live event, come watch the recording of our educational event about our work with the Maryland General Assembly and our goals for the next session.
