Councilmember Will Jawando has introduced the Law Enforcement Trust and Transparency (LETT) Act, which would require an independent investigation and public transparency in these cases. With Purim approaching, JUFJ would like to send our gratitude to our legislators and remind them of the commitments they have made to our communities. Join us for gift bag decorating, postcard writing, and the opportunity to hear the latest on the bills we are supporting in Annapolis to raise the wage, protect renters and immigrants, eliminate mandatory minimum sentencing, and reform the use of solitary confinement. This is a child-inclusive event so please feel free to bring kids to be a part of the fun! Kosher dinner will be provided.
