Join JUFJ and our partners at the Synagogue Social Justice Roundtable on for the 8th annual MLK movie screening and panel. This year's event will feature the film “At the River I Stand,” (1993) about the 1968 sanitation workers' strike that brought Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Poor Peoples' Campaign to Memphis, Tennessee. Peabody Heights Brewery 401 E 30th Street, Baltimore, MDAs the federal administration creates a system where the wealthiest institutions and individuals are able to hoard wealth, we are working on a local level to ensure our wealthiest institutions contribute towards the cost of city services they utilize. Join Jews United for Justice and the With Us, For Us Coalition to learn about the campaign to hold Baltimore City's largest universities and hospitals accountable to paying their fair share. We pay taxes, why don't they? There will be light snacks provided and a short presentation at 6pm.
