Purim 2022: from Annapolis to Zoom
Purim is a joyful Jewish holiday that commemorates the story of Queen Esther, who used her power to help her community during challenging times. Every year on (or near) Purim, JUFJ activists deliver mishloach manot, sweet gifts to our Maryland state legislators, along with a reminder of what our legislative priorities are for this year's General Assembly session. But we can't make this sweet delivery without your help.

Join us in packing bags, delivering bags to legislators, donating supplies, or donating money to offset the cost of making all of this happen.

So come nosh some hamantaschen and shake your gragger while learning how we can push councilmembers to prioritize housing and put people over profit.
Fanning the Flames of Activism: A Lag B’Omer Phonebank
Join JUFJ for Lag B’Omer on May 26th from 7:30 PM-9:00 PM as we enjoy a bonfire and phonebank to mobilize our community around DC Council’s budget vote.
When Mordechai Met the Mayor: Purim with a Twist (DC)
Edlavitch DC JCC 1529 16th St NW, Washington, DCJoin the Edlavitch DCJCC and JUFJ for an evening featuring Purim games, a hilarious Purim spiel, a live klezmer performance by the Boy-Chiks, and more! Come out to nosh on hamantaschen (and a vegetarian dinner), and learn how everyday citizens can be like Esther and Mordechai and push our elected officials to put people over profit and support more affordable housing. Don’t miss this perfect mashup of shenanigans and social action!
