Veteran's Plaza 1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring, MDYoung People for Progress and Sunrise Silver Spring are hosting a Back-to-School Protest to let county officials know they are still here fighting for Police Free Schools.
Join the rally on 8/14 at 7:30pm at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring to show your support! Wear your JUFJ shirts and bring signs in support of police free schools.

Rally for Rent Stabilization in Montgomery County
Montgomery County Council Building 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MDJoin us for a powerful in-person rally in Rockville against price gouging, hosted by MoCo DSA in collaboration with JUFJ, CASA, Everyday Canvassing, the Montgomery County Racial Equity (MORE) Network, and more. On September 9, a group of landlords in favor of unlimited rent increases will be meeting with members of the Council to advocate for their interests. We are showing up at the same time to say NO to price gouging and YES to a policy that is for working families.

Movie Screening & Panel Discussion: Policing in Schools
Silver Spring Civic Center 1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring, MDPlease join JUFJ, the Silver Spring Justice Coalition, Racial Justice NOW!, the Muslim Voices Coalition, and MoCo Against Brutality for an in-person movie screening of On These Grounds, a powerful documentary about the harm of police in schools. This event will be hosted by Councilmember Will Jawando, an outspoken legislative champion of Police Free Schools, and will include a moderated panel about policing in schools following the documentary screening.
